What makes the Product Reviews So Important
Creating Cultural Awareness that you have purchased and used can be very useful for others who are thinking of buying that same item. The great thing about this process is that you can create reviews of anything, from an eraser to a Lamborghini.
Unfortunately, the internet is full of reviews that are generally crap and because of a reader when it comes to buying something new. Many of these reviews are super charged with negative criticism or it seems that the same product owner has written the review and wants to sell more.
Here is a basic guide on how to create your own reviews.
Step 1: Before writing your review, know the product.
- Research the product.
To create reviews as complete as possible, it is not enough to just use the product on most occasions, but to extend your knowledge about that product.
Read the page of the creator or company that manufactures the product is an essential part of the process. If in some way you do not have access to the official website, remember that in most cases each product has an included manual. Keep in mind that this only serves to obtain technical characteristics, know how to use the product correctly and this information will complement your review.
Research products that compete directly with this product to know the pros and cons they have in comparison. The contrast between products will help your readers understand the differences and accept or reject a product.
- Get the product.
Sounds obvious, but, there are people who do reviews without having used the product. Those reviews are the worst. Buying or renting the product is the easiest way to create a review. With a little luck and perseverance, some companies may have sample products or sometimes they can give you the product so you can review, test and review your opinions.
If you have a blog, like mine, and you want to publish reviews, contact companies through emails, phone calls, traditional mail or even telegraph. Well, maybe not by telegraph, but in extreme cases it is necessary to go in person if your location allows it. Be sure to make clear what type of blog you write and the traffic you receive on a monthly basis. And please keep your messages short and straight to the subject. You don’t know how many requests that company should receive every month.
Large or corporate companies generally hire marketing agencies or sales representatives. If that is the case, you should locate that agency or agent and send your proposal directly to them.
- Use the product.
Now, the fun part is using and knowing the product for yourself is perhaps the most important thing when creating reviews. Readers are looking for genuine information, with experience with the product that until now has had doubts whether they should buy or not.
Document your reviews. Write notes, take photos or record videos of your experience. Show your followers that you have actually tried the product. This will give credibility to your review.
Control your emotions by documenting your reviews. If a product is good, it must be because it really is and not because you are a fan of the brand. Be objective.
